Info requested by Darlington Neighbourhood Police Teams. On 18 January, a member of the public was walking his dog along the footpath by the river Skerne, near the Five Arches at Haughton, when he spotted a bin bag. His dog started barking, so the man opened the bag to see what was in it, and found the remains of a deer and a fawn. Do you know of anyone who may be hunting or poaching in the area? Did you know who might have left the bin bag on the footpath? If so, please call us on our non-emergency number, 101. Alternatively, you can call the independent charity, Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111. Calls are anonymous, and they pay cash rewards of up to £1,000 if the information you give to them leads to one or more people being arrested and charged.
