Year 11 prefects at Haughton Academy, the Education Village, have launched a project to help younger students settle into school life when moving from primary to secondary school. The prefects hold mentoring sessions 3 lunchtimes a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. However, they would like it known that they can also be approached at any time in the school corridors.

The head boy had said that the younger students worries were often due to lack of confidence.  He had also reiterated that if the prefects couldn't assist, they would make sure the students get the help they need.
