Yesterday, marked the centenary of 100 years since the start of WW1 and as an act of remembrance and respect St Andrew's Church was open for quiet moments of reflection. Audrey Pearson, a church member, cleaned and tidied up 13 gravestones on which families had included the names of their sons, brothers, husbands who had died in the conflict. In addition Audrey placed small hand written crosses on these graves and took photos which were placed as a collage in the church. The collage can also be viewed each Wednesday when the church is open to the public.

WE DO REMEMBER THEM.
